CLI Relay is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We believe in transparency and minimal data collection.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (from OAuth provider)
  • Name (from OAuth provider)
  • Profile picture (from OAuth provider)

Session Information

For each terminal session, we collect:

  • Session metadata (creation time, last activity)
  • Connection status

What We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect or store:

  • Terminal output - Your commands and their output are relayed in real-time and never stored
  • File contents - We never access or store files from your machine
  • Keystroke logs - Input is transmitted and immediately discarded

How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate your identity
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send important service notifications
  • Respond to support requests

Data Storage and Security

Your data is protected through:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
  • Encrypted storage for account data
  • Regular security audits
  • Access controls limiting who can view data

Terminal data passes through our relay servers but is never persisted to disk. Session data is stored in memory only and cleared when the session ends.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Clerk - Authentication (processes account data)
  • Stripe - Payment processing (handles payment information)
  • Fly.io - Infrastructure hosting
  • Cloudflare - DNS and CDN services

Each service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Session data is ephemeral and exists only during active sessions.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Object to data processing

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
